About

Hey, it’s Susan Lassiter-Lyons and I’m the Roth IRA Chick.

I’m a financial expert, investor, best-selling author, publisher, certified financial coach, and activist.

I graduated magna cum laude from Regis University majoring in business and finance and am a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit National Honor Society.

I also pursued certificates in Financial Markets and Narrative Economics from Yale University, where I had the privilege of studying under the guidance of Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Shiller.

I made my first retirement investment in 1989 so, I’ve been at this for a few minutes.

I initially invested in my company’s 401(k) plan and back then the only option available was a traditional plan where you deferred taxes on your contributions.

In 1997, the Roth IRA was established and I quickly realized that it’s the superior account for retirement savings and tax-free income.

So, I systematically converted my pre-tax savings to my Roth IRA for the many reasons I discuss on this website.

I have always invested differently for retirement and thought my system could be valuable to others, so I became certified as a financial coach to help women plan and invest for a financially secure retirement.

Since 2018, My Money My Freedom and our exclusive Infinite Income system of retirement planning and investing has helped close to 300 women gain financial confidence, become skilled investors, and get their retirement on track.

I consider myself an activist and am passionate about women’s rights, animal welfare, and promoting financial literacy.

I live in Arizona with my partner Annette and our dogs Hank and Harper where you’ll find me either on the tennis court or courtside at Phoenix Mercury games.
